Airlines lowered their luggage allowance that having this bag is perfect to maximize hauling "stuffs". It's sturdy but you'll need a
string (bought 3ft climbers rope for 80cents) to secure the opening.
I am very happy "military wanna be" traveler.

I plan to use it for a canoe trip and didn't want to pay for a duluth pack. For the price this pack is great. Lots of room and quality built.

I used the product to travel to Brazil, it's a great dufflebag! It fits a lot! Couldn't have been better.
What I don't like is: when you put a lot of staffs it's very difficult to close it.

This is a great bag to check on flights because it is nearly indestructable and hold a lot of stuff. I discovered it initally when I was in the military and I bought this one for personal use (many years later).
Two issues with the bag are 1) If anyone grabs the strap that is the closure (with the snap), and lifts the bag with it, the bag can pop open; and 2) This bag is for transporting only, not living from like a suitcase - It is impossible to get anything out of the bottom of this bag without unpacking all of it. In summary: travel with it (definitely!), secure it with a tie so it doesn't pop open if tossed by a baggage handler, and plan to unpack upon arrival :)
