Comments about G.I. Style Plastic Canteen and Cover:

Fantastic product. To start, this review may be overkill to some, but I am the type of person who wants to know what they're buying, not matter what it is.

A few points to touch on:

1. This canteen has NO plastic taste what-so-ever. Being very sensitive to even the slightest plastic undertone in my water, this canteen beats out any water bottle I've ever used. All that is needed is to wash it out thoroughly with only water for a few minutes and you're good-to-go.

2. The inside of this canteen is covered in a thin furry-like material. Not saying this is a bad thing, just letting you, the potential buyer, know.

3. The aluminum cup that you can purchase separately will NOT fit within the cover. I purchased a cup, expecting it to fit in the nylon cover along with the canteen, and the cover is to small to hold the cup. But I wasn't to upset by this, because whenever I go exploring, I usually carry a pack with me.

4. Keeps water chilly for a long time. I filled it halfway with water, froze it, and filled it the rest of the way with water. Keeps cold for about 12 hours.

Overall, exceeded my expectations. This canteen is worth every penny you spend on it.

Needed something for hiking and this was perfect. We fill half way and freeze then fill rest of way with water when we leave for hike. Had fresh cold water for a very long time, excellent product and at a very reasonable price

Comments about G.I. Style Plastic Canteen and Cover:

I use my canteen on camping trips and also when I go boating. I like how much it can hold and the belt clip that comes with the cover. The only thing I didn't like was that the water tasted like plastic and the inside smelled like new plastic until it was washed a few times.
