We use the jackets during the active mosquito season when gardening and hiking. They work pretty good although rather warm despite the netting. I would recommend ordering one size bigger than you think you need---tight fits allow those nasty critters to bite through.

Great in any buggy area - a must in this mosquito season be it woods or shore at sunset. The parka could be a little longer - (below the knees) so you wont need the pants that are not available but on the web site so you can wear shorts.

I originally ordered XL for my dad and me, who are 5'10"-5'11" and 175-190 pounds. They are HUGE, extending many inches past the wrist, billowing out around the waist and chest, etc. If you are a normal-sized guy based on the aforementioned parameters, get sized medium (which we exchanged for) even if you normally wear large or XL. The hood works a lot better than some other mosquito jackets (e.g., not as many annoying zippers and what-not going through your field of vision).

This year has been a bad one for mosquitoes and black flies but with my mosquito jacket I have been able to enjoy the outdoors. The design is ingenious- no flies can get under the hood because it is all in one piece with the jacket. But the best thing about this jacket is that the mesh is light tan so it is clearer to see through than most other mosquito protection clothing.
