Workmanship looks fine but it is soooo tiny. I couldn't start to get it on my head. It is not adult size. I am going to give it to the six year old neighbor kid. I think it will fit him.

The hat keeps me extraordinarily warm in the freezing winters in Boston here. It traps and keeps in heat quite well and keeps my ears warm too. I haven't had a chance to wear it when it's snowed yet, so I can't say for certain what it's like under wet conditions. Overall, great quality for the price. I probably won't wear any other hats than this one for cold weather (or buy any others, for that matter - it seems to be quite durable and long-lasting in terms of quality). Love the fact that it's not real leather or fur, which was the main reason why I bought it.
