great helmet smells a little and with the netting on the liner does not fit well inside the steel pot. my liner was a little torn and the helmet had some dings and dents look as if it was used in WWII. it look authentic and has a good weight to it but its not good for smaller people or those who have neck problems.

Nice pot helmet, and good mesh cover. Could be good for a reenactor. The liner was Viet Nam era and all of the support attachment points were rusted to the point of failure, so I had to do a WWII rebuild.
Comments about M1 Helmet WW2 Style:
The helmet liner was a very good reproduction of the actual government issue. The actual helmet itself looked just as shown on the website. I was happily surprised at the completeness of the helmet liner with webbing and helmet chin strap.

I bought this product intending to have a helmet that could be used for either WWII or Vietnam simulation. This product is a parachutist helmet with a leather neck strap along with the normal chinstrap. It includes steel shell and plastic liner with straps and a torn net helmet cover. It is easy to remove the net helmet cover and put on the Vietnam era Mitchell cover. The only minor issue I had with it is that the original netting smells bad.
