This replaces a pair of modern poly-cotton trench coats - wool gabardine is durable and water resistant without treatment after every cleaning! Damage is simple to repair (mine had a small tear on one sleeve.
The belt doesn't sag. The colour is the deepest bottle green in bright light, otherwise it is - "a shade of (green), to paraphrase the Canadian Royal Navy's "shade of blue"!
