I ordered my coat it arrived on time. It's not a dress coat by any means. It is made large which makes it easy to drape over your legs when sitting,it come just below the knees on me like a duster almost.I believe it would repel water for a long time and longer if you sprayed on some scotch guard.I didn't care for the belt being sewn into the back but it's manageable.A couple of the buckles actually had places that had flaking rust but it's not a new coat it could be 20 or more years old.Overall a good coat for adverse weather especially where you need a durable outer shell such as walking in the woods.Like in the ad it's kinda like a tent.It has no pockets. It's just cool.If it's really cool it's large enough for a coat on underneath which you will need .

I just bought this jacket today at a Army Surplus store in Seattle. I plan on wearing it over my suit to work, I know there are probably better overcoats out there but this one was cheap cheap cheap. What I liked about this particular coat is that it is very comfortable and very warm. It's supposed to snow today and wore this coat outside and the wind does not get through the fabric. What's really cool is that this coat as leg straps. You buckle your legs to the coat. The winds blows and your coat stays in place. Awesome. The only problem I'm coming to find is that it smells like canvas, which reminds me of my old Army days, but not so good when going to work. The next thing is, I don't know how to get wrinkles out of canvas so I'm going to look a little like Colombo too.

WEll Guess... I own a Jeep (not a military but may be some time) and when I discover that coat online I could not help myself ... I had to have it... It will be very practical when I will be strended in a storm or rain when the top is down
looking forward to show it off...
and looking to see what else you have to offer.
