Comments about Ribbed V Neck Military Pullover Sweater:
I have always loved military sweaters and have a good collection of them, but this has become one of my most worn ones since I bought it.
The V-Neck makes it look particularly sharp with a collared shirt, so it doesn't come across as a "field-sweater," if you will--but don't get me wrong, it most certainly can be used for that!
Make sure you measure your chest size and study British size charts carefully--get the perfect fit for you! I don't think these run small, but rather they are cut this way: folding back the cuffs makes the sleeves short (but lets you see your watch), whereas leaving them be keeps your hands warm (good for driving on cold days); the bottom kind of runs up a bit too.
This is just a clean, smart looking sweater if you buy a size that fits you: the v-neck and epaulets will really compliment you; and if you're a well-built guy, its tightness will show off your guns. It goes well with jeans, better with khakis though. Yes, it is WARM too--and very comfortable to wear (i don't mind sleeping in it).
Like all surplus clothing, it has that "storage" odor when you receive it. It says it should be handwashed; but machine-wash it on the gentle cycle in cold water and tumble dry it--that should take care of things.
If you're thinking about buying this sweater, don't be reluctant!
