Even though these are advertised as knickers, the label inside says "Clarke's Craghoppers" and "Breeches, Climbing". I was looking for some classic styled wool hiking pants like you see in mountaineering photos from the 30's or 40's. These fit well and are a wool/nylon/cotton/fibro(?)blend. Pretty satisfied with them and will be out hiking around the post this next weekend.
