The vest works great except for a few minor things. It wasn't designed to carry plates or anything, so if you need to use it in the field, you use it as an outer layer. However, sometimes I place a lightweight plate in the 2 map pouches inside over at the front and the mesh liner in the back. Of course, keep it light or it might rip the mesh. Also, dont use the bare vest. Got MOLLE pouches and modular attachments for it. It's pointless otherwise unless you use it for airsoft. It's great body armour if all you get shot at by is a little plastic BB. Not so good against 7.62 though.
